Auto Accident / Pedestrian Accident – $600,000 Jury Verdict, Case Published: 12/01/2010

This case involved a woman walking to work (pedestrian), who was struck by a motorist exiting a shopping center, sustaining multiple fractures. Upon review of the accident location it was determined that an improperly placed sign as well as an overgrown hedge contributed to this accident. After settling with the driver of the vehicle, Attorney Robert Baker then went to trial against the shopping center. The defendant argued that plaintiff herself was negligent for walking into the path of the exiting vehicle. The jury returned a verdict of $600,000.
